Why portraits are important to me. (my life in sacramento)

Photography is very important to me. Portraits and weddings especially. You can put a price on many things in life. But my family learned the hard way that photos are not one of them.
I was born in Roseville, Raised in Sacramento. My parents met, and were married in L.A. but loved the Sacramento area so much they moved out here to have and raise their children.
When I was 15, our house burned down. we lost everything. Our local firefighters were amazing and prevented the fire from taking the entire house, but in the end, water and smoke damage destroyed it all. I have a couple of little statues and decorations from my room that I have kept as a keepsake. But I have to keep them in an airtight container, as they smell strongly of smoke and soot even after so many years.
Our family was blessed with great Fire insurance. Eventually, our house was rebuilt, and after about a year of shopping, our items were replaced. but that didn't fix everything.
We lost all of our photos in that little house in Sacramento. everything from my parent's wedding photography and engagement photos.. all of the family portraits we had done over the years were gone or ruined by water. portraits of my grandfather when he was in the army. all gone.
to me, family portraits are priceless. When I get the opportunity to be a Family portrait photography for a client, I do everything I can to make them turn out incredible. I love my job, And I will continue to work as a Sacramento Family portrait photographer for as long as I am able.

Thank you for reading. If you are ever in need of a family photographer near Sacramento, Roseville or yuba city, please let me know, I would be honored to work with you.
